Our Story
Over 20 years transforming La Laguna's cattle industry into an export brand recognized in more than 18 countries.
Timeline
On August 3, 2003, cattle feedlot ranchers from Coahuila and Durango unite under a single legal entity: Integradora de Ganaderos de Engorda de la Laguna, S.A. de C.V. The vision was clear, stop selling live cattle and take control of the entire chain, from the feedlot to the end consumer.
The processing facility is built along Highway Gómez Palacio–Bermejillo at km 25, in the Brittingham ejido. A strategically located site at the heart of northern Mexico's cattle country, with the capacity to process beef to international standards.
Intergan earns TIF Registration 430 from SENASICA Mexico's most stringent sanitary certification for export processing facilities along with approval of its HACCP plan.
Intergan earns its BPP certification (Good Livestock Practices) from SENASICA. In 2018, NSF International certification and the National Agri-Food Award follow. New export destinations: Cuba, Qatar, and Singapore.
ENTELA Engorda Tecnificada de la Laguna, begins operations: technified feedlot facilities built to the most rigorous international cattle finishing standards.
Intergan Foods receives official USDA certification (United States Department of Agriculture), formally opening the door to exports into the United States.
The international certification portfolio expands, with key approvals added for Canada, Japan, and South Korea.
Intergan earns HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification, the Mexican Beef seal, and Carne Mexicana AMEG designation. Essential for European and Asian markets, these certifications establish Intergan as a benchmark for quality on the national stage.
The most significant recognition in Intergan's history: the 2015 National Export Award, presented by the Office of the President of Mexico to Juan José Córdoba Herrero. By that year, Intergan was already operating in 18 countries. That same year also brings Kosher certification.
BPP certification (Good Production Practices) from SENASICA. In 2018, NSF International certification and the National Agri-Food Award follow. New export destinations: Cuba, Qatar, and Singapore.
A year defined by three major milestones: Halal certification (opening markets in the UAE, Malaysia, and Indonesia), SQF (Safe Quality Food, the premium standard for major global retailers), and a strategic alliance with Micro Technologies / AmerisourceBergen for digital supply chain traceability.
The most transformative chapter yet: integration with Grupo BAFAR, one of Mexico's largest agri-food conglomerates. SAP is implemented as the corporate ERP, modernizing the entire operation. And the definitive rebrand: from Intergan Laguna to Intergan Foods, a brand built for global reach.
